Mark Ripplinger, President

With a wealth of experience and expertise in business and IT leadership, governance and change execution, Mark has full organizational responsibility for leading a broad portfolio in the highly competitive payments transaction routing and switching and ATM/POS device driving and monitoring business, connecting retailers, financial institutions and cardholders world-wide.

During his 29-year career he has held key executive positions in several leading companies including: VP Technology & CIO with the Canadian Payments Association in Ottawa; Senior VP & CIO with ATB Financial in Edmonton; VP & CIO at Crown Life in Regina; Vice President of Systems with Co-Operators Financial Services in Guelph; Partner with Sierra Systems in Calgary; Business Development Executive at EDS in Calgary; Solutions Development Manager with Cisco Systems in Calgary; and Director, Sales & Marketing at CDSL/CGI in Mississauga.

Mark completed a Bachelor of Administration with Distinction at the University of Regina as well as a graduate certificate program in Finance from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is a present and past member of numerous boards of directors, industry associations and charitable organizations and is a frequent speaker at trade conferences and management groups across North America.

Jim Hackett, Vice President, Client Relations, Sales and Marketing

Jim is a senior executive focused on Information Technology with an extensive background in strategy development, systems development and deployment, service improvement, cost reduction and client relations. Jim is a results driven technology innovator who has led the development and deployment of a number of payments industry firsts.

During his 35 year career, Jim has held a number of senior level roles within the financial services industry including Director, Systems at Credit Union Central Alberta. Chief Information Officer at CU Electronic Transaction Services (CUETS) and Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Credit Union Central of Canada, representing more than 20 years within the Credit Union System. More recently, Jim held the position of Chief Development Officer at RSA Insurance Company of Canada.

Jim was a director on both the Mondex Board of Directors and Interac Association Board of Directors from 1998-2001 and was Chair of the Interac Association Board of Directors from 2001-2005. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree and has certifications both as an Information Systems Professional (ISP) and a Certified Systems Professional (CSP).

Duane Gomes, Vice President - Finance and Controller

Duane Gomes joined Everlink in February 2007, and was appointed Vice President Finance and Controller in October 2008. In this role, he is responsible for the development of all financial strategies and policies, and the delivery of financial reporting, treasury, budgeting and taxation.

Duane’s financial background is extensive. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science with Administration from Wilfred Laurier in 1992, and obtained his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1996. Duane has recently solidified his financial acumen with a Certificate in Financial Analysis and Investment Management from the University of Toronto in 2005.

Prior to joining Everlink, Duane has held Financial Management and Controller positions at Ventana Clinical Research (now DecisionLine Clinical Research), Leo Pharma Canada, Triversity, Hummingbird and Rand Technologies.

Carlo Tuzi, Vice President - Technical Architecture

Carlo joined Everlink in January 2006 with the acquisition of the CGI electronic processing business. Carlo has been appointed Vice President with responsibility for the programming teams supporting our data centre operations and infrastructure.

Carlo is a 26-year veteran in the electronic transaction processing environment and was responsible for the switching operations with CGI Services to Credit Unions business unit, and formerly with Co-Operators Data Services Limited (CDSL).

Carlo's expertise is highly regarded within the technology services industry having earned this recognition from his many years of contribution to the National credit union system and Interac Association. During his tenure he participated in the initial launch of Interac® Debit and the migration of the Interac SCD service to the IMN platform, and he continues to provide direction and support to various Interac technology projects.

Carlo is a graduate of the Humber College Data Processing program.
