EVERLINK ANNOUNCES ADAM NANJEE, HEAD OF FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY AT MaRS, AS A KEYNOTE SPEAKER OF CONNECTIONS 2016: PAYMENTS GO MOBILE

September 15, 2016

MARKHAM, ON, SEPTEMBER 15, 2016 – Everlink Payment Services Inc. announced Adam Nanjee, Head of Financial Technology at MaRS, one of the world’s largest urban innovation hubs, as the keynote speaker of their annual Connections conference taking place Oct. 17 – 18, 2016 at the Hilton Hotel & Suites Niagara Falls/Fallsview.

In 2015, MaRS established Canada’s first dedicated global innovation vertical focused on technology for the financial services industry (“MaRS FinTech”). As Head of the MaRSFinTech Cluster, Adam and his team directly manage a network of several hundred startups, a multitude of financial institutional partners, and global venture capital and FinTech innovation partners in Brazil, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and San Francisco.

The Everlink Client Conference theme this year is Payments Go Mobile, which will emphasize and encourage discussions on mobile payments, leveraging NFC technology, FinTech opportunities, the continued importance of proactive fraud management and the further expansion of Everlink’s in-market payments solutions in each of its 6 Lines of Business, as well as announce additions and changes to Everlink’s ever-growing LoB portfolio.

Adam’s keynote, titled: The Future of FinTech, will address the evolution of Financial Technology, where it started, where it’s going, and what the future outlook is in Canada and globally. His interactive keynote promises to touch on key financial technology advancements, disruptive new economies of scale, and the innovation cycle. Adam will discuss why financial services is the next industry ripe for disruption and the role of established financial institutions in partnership, delivery and ultimate consumer adoption of nuanced technologies.

“Everlink believes that FinTech solutions provide a clear opportunity to both deepen and augment credit union and bank operations, to introduce in-demand consumer applications via trusted relationships and promote retention of, and growth to, the market presence our clients have worked hard to develop,” says Mark Ripplinger, President & CEO at Everlink. “We are very excited to have Adam Nanjee as our keynote. His passion for FinTech and extensive experience in financial services and technology will surely result in an engaging keynote that will spark forward thinking conversation amongst the leaders in attendance.”

Prior to MaRS, Adam served as Vice President of Business Development and Emerging Payments at MasterCard WorldWide where his team was responsible for the company’s strategy and partnerships in digital payments. Additionally, Adam was a member of MasterCard’s corporate development and competitive intelligence strategic advisory committees. Prior to MasterCard, Adam held the position of Global Head of eCommerce and Social Networking Partnerships at BlackBerry. Spending the majority of his time in California’s Silicon Valley, Adam and his team were responsible for the overall strategic partnerships between BlackBerry and various companies including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Amazon and eBay.
