Everlink Enables EMV Certified Hypercom Devices

August 26, 2010

MARKHAM, Ontario, August 26th, 2010 – Everlink, a leading provider of Integrated Payment Solutions and Services in the Canadian marketplace, is pleased to announce the release of our first end-to-end EMV terminal application: the Hypercom “4200” line of devices which includes the Hypercom 4210, 4220, 4230 and 4240.

All certifications of this device including, but not limited to, Interac, VISA and MasterCard have now been completed and devices may be ordered from local distributors effective immediately.

This first round certification was prioritized keeping Everlink’s Chase-Paymentech MAP (Merchant Acquiring Program) ISOs, VARs and financial institutions in mind and therefore applies to debit-only and to Chase-Paymentech MAP subscribers.

Everlink expects to release approximately one new EMV device per month for the remainder of 2010, making the entire line-up EMV ready by the end of this year. Please bear in mind that Everlink devices which support “split-dial” functionality will need to be certified with the credit acquirer independently as Everlink “split-dial” credit transactions are not seen on the Everlink host.

This new terminal functionality represents the final component required to enable full chip-card functionality for Everlink clients and Merchants thereby mitigating fraud and complying with industry requirements.
