It also provides more control and flexibility to evaluate and adjust authentication rules and additional security in a dynamic eCommerce environment.

The 3D Secure Authentication Service through the Visa Consumer Authentication Service (VCAS) for both Visa and Mastercard card products provides world-class defence against ever-present fraud threats. HOT CARD AUTOMATION

Automating the card block process to mitigate risk

Hot Card Automation mitigates fraud in the Financial Institution environment by utilizing an automated card block process based on files received from Interac®’s Fraud Alert System (Skim Zone). To help prevent fraud, reports identify the cards that have been given the status of “Hot” based on each Interac® Skimming Zone file. These cards are then flagged for replacement as a proactive fraud mitigation measure.
