ATM Driving

The Everlink ATM Driving solution is a comprehensive, technology-based service that provides financial institutions with the peace of mind of knowing their ATM equipment is being effectively managed and kept up-to-date with equipment specific applications and software.

Everlink’s ATM Driving functionality includes the following options and capabilities:

Load Images
A number of load image files have been developed by Everlink and can be shared by multiple clients within the same logical node while still allowing clients the flexibility to choose their own set of functionality at the terminal which will be reflected by the screens that appear.

Card Readers
Three card reader types are available for use in CUCC, CyberGateway (A-E) and Everlink node environment:

  • Dip
  • Swipe
  • Motorized

Bill Dispense
The method used for determining which of the ATM’s bill types to dispense in order to complete the transaction request is configurable for each ATM.
Currently Everlink’s clients use three bill dispensing methods:

  • The least bills denomination method (dispenses bill counts from high to low bill denominations)
  • Alternate Picking (allows the device to withdraw same denomination bills from more than one cassette without waiting for an empty cassette
  • Threshold Dispensing (A dispense algorithm based on bill value, a threshold value, and maximum bills to determine which bills will be dispensed at each request).

Decimal Withdrawal Options
Terminals can be configured to dictate whether the issuer must enter the zeros to the right of the decimal point. This option is intended for terminals that do not have coin dispensing capabilities.

Transaction Chaining
Everlink supports the ability to “chain” transactions, allowing issuers to proceed with another transaction, after the previously selected transaction is complete, without having to reinsert their card. The receipts accommodate up to two transactions per receipt slip.

Receipts
Receipts can be made optional with transaction processing. Receipt configuration is supported by device type, receipt group, transaction type, language code, card issuer FIID. Receipt groups allow the use of a single receipt format for a group of ATMs rather than configuring receipts for each ATM.

Routing Groups
Alternate routing groups can be set up at the terminal level and are used to customize the routing of transactions originating at the terminal to a destination outside of the local network. This type of routing group allows groups of terminals to route differently than other terminals associated with the same financial institution.

Surcharge Functionality
Everlink provides the functionality for an institution to set up transaction acquirer fees for each terminal based on their unique circumstances.

Languages
The number of languages available on each ATM depends on the specific ATM’s functionality. Everlink has developed and supports multiple languages besides the mandatory two (English and French). Italian, Punjabi and Chinese are available in CyberGateway (L/Net A and L/Net E).

Administrative Functions
To control on-site service access and security, special administrative cards are issued to institution personnel for the purpose of performing administrative functions. When a service person inserts his or her administrative card into the ATM, the card information is checked by Everlink, and if a positive match is made, the service person is granted administrative access to the ATM.
