MARKHAM, ON, APRIL 10, 2017 – Everlink Payment Services Inc. is pleased to announce a new partnership with Servus Credit Union, who will use Everlink’s Central Card Issuance (CCI) solution to produce and distribute contactless EMV Chip Debit Mastercard® for their members. Everlink is updating their card processing capabilities to support the issuance of Debit Mastercard. Debit Mastercard is a co-branded Debit card; the card works as a Mastercard for on-line and international transactions and as an Interac Debit card when used for Canadian domestic transactions. Servus is the first credit union in Canada to launch this co-branded card.

Everlink’s Central Card Issuance (CCI) solution enables financial institutions to reliably and cost-effectively produce contactless EMV Chip Debit cards from a secure central facility, offering distribution options to send the cards directly to the cardholder or to the branch. Introducing this new card offering, Everlink continues to provide a simple, cost effective way to produce EMV compliant dual interface (contactless) cards, now with the added benefit of co-badged Debit Mastercard.

Debit Mastercard provides cardholders with more choices as it can be used anywhere they would use Mastercard while travelling. Along with the added benefit of Card Not Present transactions (e-commerce purchases at participating online retailers), Debit Mastercard allows cardholders to shop in stores inside and outside of Canada, as well as complete ATM withdrawals inside and outside of Canada wherever Mastercard is accepted – proving it to be a true convenience card as it provides the cardholder with the freedom to shop with one card.
