Latest Generation of Ingenico POS Devices Now Available Direct from Everlink

March 30, 2012

MARKHAM, ON, March 30th, 2012 – Everlink Payment Services Inc. is pleased to announce that effective immediately, ISO and Financial Institution clients will have the opportunity to acquire the new Ingenico Telium POS devices directly from Everlink thanks to the signing of a recent reseller agreement.

“The Canadian Financial Services industry is very demanding when it comes to the checkout and POS technology. End users are technology savvy and expect innovation, security, and speed at the point of sale. Thus, it’s not surprising that Everlink is continuously looking to expand its POS portfolio of products with the best products available today” said David Chaudhari, Managing Director of Ingenico, Canada, “We are very excited that Everlink, a leader in the delivery of the POS solutions to the Canadian financial services industry, chose to add Ingenico’s new Telium series devices to their portfolio of offerings. With Everlink’s exceptional reach in the ISO and Banking channel, this is a most exciting initiative and it assures us that our Telium devices will soon find their ways into even more Canadian retail and banking locations.”

Specific EMV-compliant devices available in this agreement include:

  • The iCT250 which has the power to process 500 million instructions per second, the latest PCI PED security and a contactless EMV payment option.
  • The iWL 250 GPRS which is part of the first line of pocket sized wireless payment EMV-enabled devices on the market and features the most comprehensive portable range ever, making it an enticing option for the hospitality and other portable delivery markets.
  • The iPP320 which is the first “all-in-one” PIN Pad to have a dedicated ARM 7 crypto processor to handle highly secure transactions and comes with multiple card readers to accept all types of payment including EMV, contactless, NFC-enabled, and magnetic stripe.

By certifying these latest color and contactless devices, Everlink is on track to reach its goal of offering Interac Flash, Paywave® and Paypass® by August 2012, an achievement that will put them ahead of the competition in the field of contactless payment options (prior to this deadline clients can immediately deploy the new Ingenico devices for regular EMV and magnetic stripe use, and download an update for the contactless readers as soon as the Everlink Host supports it in August).

This announcement adds to Everlink’s model of full service payment solutions to ISOs which includes:

  • Initial deployment services (key injection, application configuration and electronic boarding to the Everlink Host)
  • Web reporting
  • Online statements
  • Payouts
  • EFT
  • Billing and settlement
  • Help desk
  • Inventory control module
  • Access to update and download device profiles and applications.

“We understand the needs of our clients, and keep striving to develop solutions that ISOs, and Financial Institutions require in order to be more competitive with the larger processors” says Paul Mighton Vice President, Channel Sales & Marketing from Everlink. “So when our ISO clients requested that we offer this type of service package so that they can get back to selling Merchant Services, we were more than happy to comply. Everlink has been successfully working with Ingenico on many fronts over the years and we are pleased and honored to formalize this important relationship.”
