Curtis Wennberg joined CUCM as the President and CEO in 2021. He holds the role of Chairperson for Celero, a technology organization owned by the credit union system; and is a Director at Prairie Payments Joint Venture and at Everlink Payment Services Inc. Prior to joining CUCM, Curtis served as Chief Operating Officer of Manitoba Public Insurance, leading operations and customer service through a team of 1,200 people. Curtis holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Manitoba, and a Masters of Business Administration from the London Business School in England. He spent a large part of his career in senior level positions in financial services, with RBC, Toronto Stock Exchange, HSBC, and GE Capital within Canada and Australia. He has held executive roles for businesses in credit cards, commercial finance, consumer finance, strategy, and marketing. Curtis is looking forward to continuing to work with all of Credit Union stakeholders and partners as the system evolves with the dynamic changes in the world of financial services.

Stephen Fitzpatrick joined SaskCentral on September 15, 2021 as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer and was appointed to the CEO role on April 15, 2023.

Stephen brings to the CEO role expertise in finance & treasury and payments, as well as significant credit union system experience, all of which aligns with SaskCentral’s vision to be a trusted and effective partner that Saskatchewan credit unions count on to enable liquidity management services and access to payment ecosystems by 2024.

Stephen also has a proven reputation and experience in strategy design and execution, which will be instrumental to the organization’s completing its strategic agenda and putting in place a new strategic plan, ensuring SaskCentral is positioned operationally for the benefit of the Saskatchewan credit union system now and into the future.

Stephen came to SaskCentral with extensive experience and knowledge as a Chief Financial Officer within the financial services industry and the credit union sector. This includes his tenure as CFO at Capital Planning Solutions Inc., CFO & VP Corporate Services at the Canadian Credit Union Association (formerly CUCC), and as CFO at publicly held Currency Exchange International, Corp. and its wholly owned subsidiary Exchange Bank of Canada.

Stephen also has extensive experience working with regulators and boards, including as Director at Interac Association/ACXSYS Corporation, and Vice Chair at Concentra Bank. He has also served on various board committees, including audit & conduct, HR, compensation, & structuring, and the Payments Canada Member Advisory Committee.

Stephen holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario and has attained both his Chartered Professional Accountant (CGA) designation and his ICD.D designation.

Steve Salzer is Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel at PSCU/Co-op Solutions which is headquartered in St. Petersburg, Florida.  In that role, Steve oversees the company’s Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Business Continuity, Investigations, Vendor Risk Management and Government Relations functions.  Steve previously represented PSCU as the Chair of the Board of Managers of two of PSCU’s prior minority investments (Ongoing Operations, LLC and Procura LLC), and currently represents PSCU on the Regulatory Advocacy Committee of NACUSO, on the Payments Subcommittee of CUNA, and on the Board of Directors and Audit Committee of Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay.  Steve is also on the Board of Directors of the FFLA, a nonprofit associated with the Florida Bar, and is on its Executive Committee and is Chair of its Audit Committee.

Steve joined PSCU in 2005 and has over 30 years of experience in enterprise risk, legal matters, mergers and acquisitions, P&L management, operations, finance, human resources, supplier development and sales. Prior to joining PSCU, Steve served as General Counsel, General Manager, Sales Manager, Vice President, CFO and CEO at various manufacturing and distribution companies, and prior to that Steve was in private law practice in Washington, D.C. concentrating on corporate, banking and real estate law.  He is also experienced in negotiating domestic and international mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from Duke University, and has a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Chicago Law School.  He is admitted to the Florida bar.  Steve and his wife live in Tampa, Florida.

Brad Bendeck joined Co-op Solutions in 2019 and currently serves as SVP of Strategic Partnerships & Corporate Strategy.  In this capacity he is responsible for Co-op’s largest strategic partner relationships (Fiserv, FIS, Visa, Mastercard), strategic planning, business performance management, corporate development (mergers/acquisitions, divestitures, strategic venture investments), and Co-op’s partner referral program.

Brad previously served in various leadership roles at First Data (now Fiserv) over ten years, including General Manager of the North America Small Business Financing business unit and Head of Strategy & Corporate Development for the Global Business Solutions division.  Prior to First Data, Brad spent ten years in the U.S. telecommunications industry with Sprint Nextel (now T-Mobile) and a start-up local exchange carrier serving in a variety of roles within corporate strategy and finance.

Over Brad’s 25-year career, he has supported capital markets activities – including two successful IPOs – amounting to over $6B in capital raised, participated in over 25 corporate development transactions, and led cross-functional strategic initiatives in eight countries spanning North America, Latin America and Europe.  He is a financial technology expert with extensive experience across the issuing, acquiring, and network segments of the card payments value chain and is an astute observer of emerging payment trends, technologies, and business models.

Brad earned his BSBA in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and EMBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.  He resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife and three young children.
