Libro Credit Union, one of Canada’s largest Credit Unions, will now be moving forward with a full issuance program to their members.

The Libro Debit Mastercard will serve as an all-in-one card, providing Libro’s members with more usage opportunities than their traditional member debit card permits today. The Libro Debit Mastercard allows Libro members to make online, over-the-phone, and mail order purchases, as well as recurring payments directly from their bank account. Additionally, members will continue to enjoy traditional benefits such as the ability to shop in-person and complete ATM withdrawals inside Canada wherever Interac is accepted, and outside Canada wherever Mastercard is accepted. This flexibility and ubiquity define the Debit Mastercard as a true convenience card, providing the member with the freedom to shop in-person, online and virtually anywhere in the world with one card.

One of Libro’s top considerations for the Debit Mastercard Affiliate program was the safety and security of their members’ transactions, particularly eCommerce (card-not-present) transactions. Everlink definitely met this requirement as its award-winning eSCORE™ fraud monitoring platform, which leverages elements of machine learning technologies and regression models, together with Everlink’s award-winning ATM and POS monitoring platform, eDETECT™, are provided as an integrated Fraud Management platform supporting the Debit Mastercard Affiliate Program model. Together they provide Libro and their members’ peace of mind for all face to face and online transactions. And finally, Libro members will also have access to Mastercard Global Services, providing support for lost and stolen card reporting, emergency card replacement and emergency cash advance.
