MARKHAM, ON, SEPTEMBER 3, 2019 – Everlink Payment Services Inc. is pleased to announce the pilot program for NCR Windows 10 has successfully concluded and that full-scale upgrade implementations for NCR ATMs are now ready for rollout. Current piloted clients have reported positive feedback and are confident with the new operating software well ahead Microsoft’s looming deadline.

As you may be aware, January 14, 2020, represents Microsoft’s end of life of its Windows 7 Operating System. After this date, Microsoft will officially cease to provide technical assistance and updates for Windows 7.

What does the Windows 10 upgrade mean to your ATM fleet? One of the key benefits to Windows 10 is improved security. Migrating to Windows 10 will help reduce the risk of threats, malware and criminal attacks. Furthermore, development of future services and upgrades will be focused on the Windows 10 platform, which ensures you are eligible for value added services that will extend the longevity of your ATM investment.

There is no time like the present to make the switch and avoid ATM service delays. The steps are simple:

• Contact your NCR representative to ensure your ATM hardware versions are ready for the Windows 10 upgrade. NCR may also have recommendations for getting your machines updated so there’s minimal downtime based on your specific needs and your customers’ habits.
